Hearts in the Ice- Poles Apart with one mission to engage!

The historic account of the 19-month expedition that Sunniva Sorby, Hilde Fålun Strøm and Ettra (their 4 year old malamute), completed in Svalbard Norway. They became the first women in history to overwinter in the high Arctic of Svalbard solo without men. They served as active Citizen Scientists for 9 International science projects earning them the title “Extreme Rocket Citizen Scientists” from NASA after recording a timelapse of a rocket launch with Barium gases.They connected with over 100k youth globally to engage, educate and inspire active engagement around Climate Change.

Across the White Plains to the South Pole

This is the historic account of the first All Women’s Expedition navigating 700 miles/1500 km across the frozen white landscape of Antarctica to reach the South Pole 14 Jan 1993 . As the youngest team member on this life defining expedition Sunniva shares what it means to embark on an expedition.
